Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) act as advisors to individuals, businesses, financial institutions, not-for-profit organizations and government agencies on a wide range of finance-related matters.

CPAs are professionals, distinguished from other accountants by stringent licensing requirements.  We must have a college degree, pass a rigorous national examination, and meet certain experience requirements to qualify for a state license.  We are also required to complete 40 hours of continuing education each year in order to retain our licenses.  (Our firm exceeds the required average.)

In addition to meeting the profession’s technical requirements, we are governed by a code of professional ethics, which is among the most exacting of any profession.

In order to maintain our high standards, our firm has undergone more than 10 separate peer reviews of the quality control systems of our accounting and auditing practices.  The result of our peer reviews confirms our quality of work was complete and we had performed the attestation functions to our professions' high standards.  At Mosher, Seifert & Co., CPAs, we strive to meet these stringent requirements, as well as our own quality requirements.  We feel that quality is the best service we can offer.
